875 spectators turned out to witness the Spring Series contest, which got off to a fast start with both sides trying to get a foothold in the game.
The first 20 minutes saw Manchester City Women move the ball well, with Parris getting a lot of success down the flanks. There were chances for both sides, the most notable falling to Olivia Fergusson and Toni Duggan respectively.
On 42 minutes the deadlock was broken, Toni Duggan drilled the ball home from inside the box after a well worked move by the visitors.
Almost immediately, Chloe Arthur was gifted the ball by the Man City defence but her effort was well saved by Marie Hourihan in the Manchester City Women goal.
The second half got off to a frantic start just like the first, with Parris hitting the post on 47 minutes for the visitors. Calm build up, saw the ball find Parris who cut in from the wing to strike the post from distance.
On 51 minutes Toni Duggan made it 2-0 to the visitors. Caitlin Leach was adjudged to have committed a foul in the box from a corner, and Duggan stepped up calmly to convert from the spot.
Soon after, Duggan made it a hat-trick with a low shot into the corner of the net. Manchester City Women were 3-0 up after 57 minutes and City Women had work to do.
Duggan was at it again on the hour mark, hitting the post after Leach tipped her shot onto the post. The Manchester City Women striker was on sparkling form throughout the game.
The closing stages were tight and neither side could get any notable chances on goal.
