Norris began the weekend in sensational form, qualifying for rounds 13 and 15 of the MSA Formula Championship in pole position.
Leading throughout the first race of the weekend on Saturday, disaster struck on the final lap as Dan Ticktum made contact with Lando’s car on the very last corner to put him out of the race.
This failure to finish saw the 15 year-old begin the second race of the weekend at the back of the grid, making up a few places to finish in 13th.
Ticktum then came back to haunt Norris on the final race, getting a great start to push the Bristol Sport racer back into second.
Norris had several looks at Ticktum during the race but couldn’t quite manage to pass before being overtaken by Championship leader Ricky Collard. Norris currently sits in second place in the standings at the halfway stage of the competition.
Full reaction from this weekend’s races to follow.
