What’s the first thing you do when you get to work?

I say good morning to everyone, shaking hands and connecting.

Before working at the company, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

Making rugby boots for a local company.

How long have you worked for the company?

Since June 2017.

What do you like most about working for the company?

The vision. I love what we are trying to achieve and that we all have clarity on where we are going.

How do you define success?

Going home and knowing that I did the best I possibly could that day.

What does leadership mean to you?

Influence. The ability to influence people.

What 2019 concert are you looking forward to most at Ashton Gate?

I’ve already seen the Spice Girls and Rod Stewart and they were great. I’ve not seen Take That and I don’t really know Muse – I’m probably showing my age – but I would happily go to all of them. 

How do you balance your career and family?

The big thing is it isn’t a time thing, It’s the quality of the time. You have to be 100% when you’re with the family and be 100% when you’re with the job.

What advice do you have for prospective candidates, who would like to work at the company?

Be coachable, keen to learn and as Bruce Reihana says… bring the energy!
