A festive SOS was sent out to Bears and City fans on the weekend of December 17 and 18last year to bring their teddy bears to a collection point under the South Stand clock.
Supporters responded to the call from our clubs with incredible generosity and The Teddy Trust has now confirmed that the teddy bears donated have reached the Ukraine.
A spokesperson for Bristol Sport said: “We would like to thank City and Bears fans once again for their unbelievable generosity over the Christmas period. The teddy bears they donated to The Teddy Trust will help bring comfort to traumatised children in Ukraine who have often been separated from family members in the conflict situation.”
The Teddy Trust collects teddy bears from children around the UK and sends them to children who are suffering the traumas of war, starvation, or abuse.
The trust has sent more than 140,000 teddy bears to children to date.
