Gymnastics coach

Bristol Sport Foundation invites gymnastics coaches to apply for the position of community gymnastics coach.

As a BSF community gymnastics coach, your role will be primarily focused on the delivery of high-quality gymnastics coaching to children through our established and successful primary school PE and sports coaching programme, Forever Sport.

This will include curriculum time PE lessons and the delivery of after school clubs.

Working closely with our Forever Sport head coaches, you will play a key role in helping children to fall in love with gymnastics.

The role will also involve working with primary school teaching staff to up skill and develop their confidence in delivering gymnastics.

The post-holder will have a unique opportunity to further their sports coaching and sports development career with a forward-thinking charity that harnesses the power of sport to positively change lives.

Individual Requirements

As a minimum, you must:

  • Hold a Level One UKCC gymnastics coaching qualification
  • A minimum of two years’ experience of coaching gymnastics to children
  • A full valid UK driving license

You must have an understanding and commitment to equal opportunities in employment and sport, and an understanding of individual responsibility in complying with health and safety policies and arrangements. 

You will be able to communicate effectively and present a highly professional image when representing BSF, establish positive working relationships with professional staff in schools and balance a determined application of the role with a sense of fun and enjoyment.

CONTRACT TYPE

20 hours per week fixed term until July 23rd, 2019 – school term time only plus one day per school holiday and the annual leave entitlement.

We expect the role to continue beyond this date with increased hours.

ANNUAL LEAVE

Five days to be taken during school holidays plus public holidays

SALARY

£25,000 pro rata – actual £6,250 (for the 26-week, 20-hour week contract)

Handball coach

Bristol Sport Foundation invites handball/sports coaches to apply for the position of community handball coach.

As a BSF community handball coach, your role will be primarily focused on the delivery of high-quality sports coaching to children through our Forever Sport primary school PE and sports coaching programme.

This will include curriculum time PE lessons and the delivery of after school clubs.

Collaborating with Bristol Handball Club and the England Handball regional delivery manager, you will also play a role in helping to grow the club and the community handball programme across the region.

The post-holder will have a unique opportunity to further their sports coaching and sports development career with a forward-thinking charity that harnesses the power of sport to positively change lives. 

Individual Requirements

As a minimum, you must:

  • Hold a Level One UKCC sports coaching qualification
  • Have a passion for, experience in and knowledge of the sport of handball
  • Have the desire and ambition to achieve the Level 1 and subsequently the Level Two UKCC Handball coaching qualification, which BSF will support you with
  • A minimum of one years’ experience of coaching sport to children
  • A full valid UK driving license.
