As a BSF Community Basketball Coach, your role will be primarily focused on the delivery of high-quality basketball coaching to children through our established and successful primary school programmes, community hubs and holiday camps. You will deliver educational and practical sessions to children and their families inspiring them to play basketball whilst promoting health and well-being.
You will play a key role in helping to grow participation in basketball and build the Bristol Flyers fanbase across the city. The post-holder will have a unique opportunity to further their sports coaching and sports development career with a forward thinking charity that harnesses the power of sport to positively change lives.
Individual Requirements
As a minimum, you must:
- Hold a Level 2 UKCC basketball coaching qualification
- A minimum of two years’ experience of coaching sport to children
- A full valid UK driving license
You must have an understanding and commitment to equal opportunities in employment and sport, and an understanding of individual responsibility in complying with Health and Safety policies and arrangements.
You will be able to communicate effectively and present a highly professional image when representing BSF, establish positive working relationships with professional staff in schools and balance a determined application of the role with a sense of fun and enjoyment.

CONTRACT TYPE:
Full time, fixed term contract starting on Monday, February 24th, 2020 and finishing on August 26th, 2020.

ANNUAL LEAVE:

SALARY:
£15,000 – £17,000 pro rata (dependent on strength of application) plus bonus. Pro rata OTE £16,300 – £18,300.
