Hurst highlighted how important it is to have the right attitude:
“Every single part of your behaviour and thinking at the top level comes down to attitude,” he continued.
“You put a group of people together with a good attitude and you finish up with the success we achieved.”
Hurst’s feat in the final of the 1966 tournament secured him a unique place in footballing history, while also leading England to their only World Cup title in a 4-2 extra-time victory over West Germany at Wembley.
