More than 150 keen athletes from Bristol are taking part in the event on Sunday.

Event organiser and former international triathlete, Akhil Viz, is really looking forward to it, “I have been working on this for two years now and after all the hard work we cannot wait to finally get underway.

“It’s great that Bristol Sport is providing T-shirts for the sprint triathlon which includes a 400 metre pool swim, 19km cycle and 5km run. The cycle will be held on closed roads along Bradley Stoke Way to ensure the utmost safety for our participants” said Akhil.

Bristol Sport’s Group and Memberships Manager, Vicky Barlow added: “Some people think Bristol Sport is all about football, rugby and basketball but we are much more than that. We support community events like this to not only encourage people to watch sport but also take part.”

The event will take place at Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre and please note that Bradley Stoke Way will be closed to the public on Sunday, August 30th between 6am and 2pm.
