After a tough couple of rounds of late; the 23-year-old Bristol racer is keen to make amends and get back to winning ways.

“We have been out in the car once and practiced since Knockhill,” said the GT Marques driver.

“Unfortunately all it did was further prove that we have an issue of some kind with the car which is not allowing us to show our true potential.

“We haven’t yet found out what the issue is, but the team and I are working tirelessly to find out exactly what it is.

“The test didn’t go well but at least it gave us a chance to find the issue so that we can solve it for this weekend.

“We will remain confident and positive and aim to take the wins as usual.”

Having joined his race team, GT Marques, at Silverstone this time last year, Zamparelli has good memories from the short national track.

Taking two wins and a lap record from a difficult year was a huge highlight, and one he is keen to repeat.

“Think about last year; we’ve got the car set up and data so we know what the car should do. I proved that last year I can win with this team at this circuit.

“What we must try and solve is our mysterious car problem, which is starting to get annoying.

“We are still lying 2nd in the driver’s championship, and we have lots of points still to play for. I will be giving it my all as ever.”

Zamparelli has his first race on Sunday, September 18th at 12:25pm with the second at 4:30pm which will be live in ITV4.
