After a fast qualifying round on Saturday, the Bristolian driver recorded the fastest lap in both races and finished P1 and P2 respectively on Sunday at Brands Hatch.
The Bristol Sport Racing driver said: “It was a really good start to the season. We weren’t sure what to expect due to limited testing time but we felt confident.
He added: “my aim was to put pressure on last year’s champion.”
Zamparelli crossed the line in second on the first race but the driver in front was given a 5 second penalty for going off the track so Dino took the P1 position.
“It was a confused celebration but I was still pleased to take the title.”
The second race was a similar story as Dino put pressure on last years leading driver and secured another podium finish.
“There is plenty to build on and overall it was a very positive opening weekend.”
Zamparelli is now joint leader in the 2016 Porsche Carrera Cup ahead of the next round at Silverstone on Saturday, April 16th and Sunday, April 17th.
