With the championship having already been decided in favour of Dino’s rival Dan Cammish, the Bristol racer is keen to showcase the underlying speed and solidify 2nd overall in the title at the finale.
“We go into Brands Hatch confident of the car again. I felt like we worked our way back towards the front at Silverstone. It was never going to be easy with the issues we had at Snetterton and Knockhill, and then the practice before Silverstone was a disaster.
“However, we came away with a podium and our pace was a lot stronger than it had been since our mid season wins at Croft. We’re still 2nd in the championship, so we have that to fight for.”
Last year’s race was as well a successful trip for Zamparelli, as he took two 3rd place finishes and a fastest lap, to end last year strongly. However, this year, he is keen to put all of the recent issues behind and go for the wins.
“I want to go out there and show that we’ve had the pace all season long and that with a car we can work with, we can fight for the wins. We’re bringing a couple of small car tweaks for Friday Free Practice, and I’m confident that both myself and my team will be right on the money”
Having entertained 30+ partners and sponsors at Silverstone, Brands Hatch will as well play host to similar numbers, as the 23 year old explains how great the support is:
“It’s so great to have lots of support and guests coming again to Brands Hatch this weekend. We’ll once again have Clifton Coffee, Arbuthnot Latham, Bristol Sport, Eden Private Staff and #BristolBonnet members.
“It’s a great day in the hospitality suite and everyone will be getting to enjoy the thrills and spills of a race day. I get to go in to the suite and do a speech to everyone, and show them all around the race car in my paddock area. Overall it should be a a really fun day and I really want to get those wins for everybody!”
Race 1 takes place at 10:35 am on Sunday the 2nd of October, with Race 2 being show live on ITV4 at 16:17 pm.
